Constanze has a background in many areas of architectural design, describing herself as a generalist. After graduating at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich she began to work as an architect, later moving on to interiors and furniture. Recent independent projects include an event space in Berlin and lighting design for hotels.

She always seeks an artistic, conceptual approach, often crossing the line between design and fine art. In her work as an exhibiting artist, sculpture and installation became an integral part, recently focussing on kinetic installations and curating artist group shows.

In 2005 Constanze and her partner moved the family home from Berlin to London, where they
founded Kirigram, a design label for sculptural furniture.
